PROCEDURE
FEI Registrations
This procedure outlines the steps involved in becoming registered with the FEI in order to compete in an international event being held under FEI rules.  The process is designed to assist members who would like compete at International FEI Endurance rides.
It should be noted that the requirements for FEI registration are governed by the FEI, and that this procedure will be changed from time to time to accommodate any changes made by the FEI.
FEI registration is required by both Horse and Rider and is valid for a 1 year period running between 01 January to 31 December, thereafter it is required to be renewed.  The Equestrian National Federation(SANEF) is responsible for the administrative process between any equestrian discipline and the FEI and all applications are canceled through them.

FEI Registrations - HORSE

  • A minimum of 2 weeks prior to the date that the registration is needed, the application form is to be completed by the ERASA member. This is available on the ERASA web site under the FORMS tab, and is titled ‘HORSE FEI REGISTRATION FORM’.
  • ERASA member makes the necessary payment to the ERASA bank account. The correct fee will be available on the web site.  Alternatively contact the ERASA office in Bloemfontein for           the correct fee.
  • ERASA member faxes the completed application and the proof of payment to the ERASA Bloemfontein office. Note: the UV number is not the Passport Number.
  • ERASA member to confirm that the fax has been received by the ERASA office and is complete and legible.
  • ERASA office confirms payment and sends the application to SANEF.  The FEI will allocate a number to the applicant within a period of 2 weeks.
  • 2 weeks from faxing the application to the ERASA office, ERASA member may verify that the number has been issued by the FEI.  This can be done by following the below steps:
    • Go to the LINKS tab on the ERASA web site
    • Select FEI REGISTERED HORSES and complete the fields as follows:
      • ANY ID :  leave blank
      • PONY :  leave on ALL
      • ADMINISTERING NF : RSA
      • REGISTRATION : LEAVE ALL
      • ANY NAME :  HORSES FULL NAME (in CAPS)
      • INCLUDE HISTORICAL NAMES : leave blank
      • ONLY ACTIVE : leave blank
      • CLICK ON SEARCH
      • The results of the search will now appear on the page.  If there are no results returned then the registration has not been completed.

FEI Registrations - RIDER

  • A minimum of 2 weeks prior to the date that the registration is needed, the application form is to be completed by the ERASA member. This is available on the ERASA web site under the FORMS tab, and is titled ‘RIDER FEI REGISTRATION FORM’.
  • ERASA member makes the necessary payment to the ERASA bank account. The correct fee  will be available on the web site.  Alternatively contact the ERASA office in Bloemfontein for the correct fee.
  • ERASA member faxes the completed application and the proof of payment to the ERASA  Bloemfontein office together with the ANTI-DOPING FORM.
    • Note: the application will not be processed unless accompanied by the Anti-doping Form.
  • ANTI-DOPING FORM: this is to be completed by the Rider, unless the rider is a minor.  If the rider is a minor then the adult responsible for that minor is required to complete the form.
  • ERASA member to confirm that the fax has been received by the ERASA office and is complete and legible.
  • ERASA office confirms payment and sends the application to SANEF.  The FEI will allocate a number to the applicant within a period of 2 weeks.

      • ANY NAME :  TYPE YOUR SURNAME
      • STATUS  : leave ALL
      • GENDER : CHOOSE MALE OR FEMALE
      • CLICK :  SEARCH
      • The results of the search will now appear on the page.  If there are no results returned then the registration has not been completed.
